A merlot and Cabernet Franc blend from a 17th Century vineyard overlooking the greatest Pomerol estates. Raspberries, tar and cocoa.
Chateau Tournefeuille Lalande de Pomerol 2014
Region : France > Bordeaux
Tasting Note : A blackberry and blueberry core wrap around fine and chewy tannins. Ripe fruits are supported by the balanced structure. Plum from the Merlot offers a silky finish, while Cabernet Franc offers a bit of underbrush and terroir.
Blend : 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc.
Wine Making : The vineyard consists of different plots with their own soil types. The tanks in the cellar are therefore small, so that the grapes from those plots can be fermented separately. The differences in soil can then be reflected in the wine. The fermentation tanks are made of cement, a material that keeps the temperature low and even, so that the fermentation runs smoothly and in a controlled manner.
ABV : 13%
Drink With : Beef tenderloin or veal, soft cream cheeses.
